Comment
Another unique Buller George Turkington structural solution, Metro City used a combination of steel beams and precast concrete columns to provide the bracing frame in one direction, with precast column/panels acting as shear walls in the other. The use of prefabricated units was dictated by the small footplate and lack of storage on site, but worked extremely well under the experienced management of Arrow International, resulting in a floor cycle at its peak of 3-4 days. << Back
